Are consensual divorces accepted in Canada?

If an international couple (a Cdn + int.l) who married in Canada but live overseas have a consensual divorce in the court of the overseas country, what does the (former) couple or their lawyers need to do to make the legality of that consensual divorce accepted in Canada?
