Question about re-applying to graduate schools for social work. Out of the box advice is there is even any.?

I find this very interesting. After I completed my B.A. in history and anthropology and my M.A. in English, I decided that I possibly wanted to be a social worker. I applied to several universities for an M.A. in social work, and they all let me in without even questioning my lack of background. I had a 4.0 in both my undergrad and graduate work, so I umed that was all it took. In the end I decided to go a different route with my higher education, but I'm wondering if it's your low GPA, rather than lack of experience that is keeping them from admitting you. What universities are you specifically applying to?
