How to get rid of my brown slime algae?

Hey I have read previous answers to this type of question, but they were all chemical and waterchange solutions. I was wandering if there is any type of device or machine like thing maybe like a UV clarifier or something that will kill brown slime. Just something that will keep my freshawater heated aquarium CRYSTAL CLEAR and that destroys BROWN ALGAE SLIME that is a DEVICE..Thankyou for your help....
