Cavemen�!/%********!!!?

Something I've always wondered! Most of us think in words right? So during the prehistoric era how did cavemen used to think? Did they actually think in grunts, and i don't want t hear that they didn t think because it' s just not possible, it's just not possible to NOT think.Whats your theory?
