Why do aliens abducting only Americans?

Supposedly they don't. People all over the world claim to get abducted. That said, their encounters are said to usually differ from the American ones. (I read somewhere that Americans report seeing these grey ones, while in europe it is much more common to find reports of human looking ones.) No idea why this is though. Americans may just be more paranoid about it because of Hollywood.
