I thought The Popular Vote Was The Will Of The People?

That's why Iran and other countries call our elections a SHAM! They are! When self-serving delegates, many of whom already hold office can "choose the candidate" that's not democracy! Members of the electoral college are supposed to vote the will of the people and they are not supposed to hold any public office because it would be a conflict of interest. The popular votes should determine the candidate -- not delegates and we should do away with primary elections altogether. It's time for total reform.
