Guys help please, am i reading too much into this situation?

Frankly there is no time allowance on falling in love. It can happen in an instant or can happen after 20 years or more of a good friendship. You started it, then you got mad he said it. He obviously wants more than you are willing to give. Not all guys want loveless . Sounds like you found one and now regret having started the whole mess. What you need to do is figure out whether or not you love this guy, if you do, let him know as soon as possible. If you don't love him, let him go to find someone that will and won't withhold love from him.
